Fubo TV not working can appear as buffering, black screen, app crashing, or login failures. This guide covers every fix so you can get back to streaming quickly. For login-specific issues see our login guide.
Quick Fixes to Try First
Restart the Fubo TV App
Close the app completely and reopen it. This fixes most temporary glitches.
Check Your Internet Connection
Fubo TV needs at least 20 Mbps for HD. Run a speed test and restart your router if speed is low.
Restart Your Device
Turn off your Roku, Fire Stick, Smart TV, or phone. Wait 30 seconds and turn it back on.
Update the Fubo TV App
Go to your device's app store and check for Fubo TV updates. Outdated apps cause many issues.
Fix Fubo TV Buffering
- Connect to 5 GHz WiFi instead of 2.4 GHz
- Use a wired ethernet connection if possible
- Close other apps and devices using the same connection
- Lower video quality in Fubo TV settings temporarily
- Clear the Fubo TV app cache (Settings → Apps → Fubo TV → Clear Cache)
Fix Fubo TV Black Screen
- Check HDMI cable connections if using a streaming stick
- Disable any VPN or proxy you're running
- On browser: disable ad blockers and extensions
- Try a different browser — Chrome works best for Fubo TV
Fix Fubo TV App Crashing
- Clear the app cache and data (Settings → Apps → Fubo TV)
- Uninstall and reinstall the Fubo TV app
- Make sure your device's OS is up to date
